Full-Time: 40 Hours per Week
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Long Term Care Pharmacy Technician to join our dynamic team. This is a fast-paced, high-accuracy role crucial for ensuring the timely and precise delivery of medications while supporting overall pharmacy operations. Key Responsibilities:

  • Medication Orders: Swiftly and accurately fulfill daily medication orders under the guidance of a pharmacist, ensuring smooth pharmacy operations.
  • Prepacking & Labeling: Assist in prepacking frequently requested medications, meticulously labeling, and ensuring proper storage protocols.
  • Packaging & Quality Assurance: Package materials and medications by hand, ensuring each item meets quality standards.
  • Inventory Management: Retrieve medications from designated storage areas and maintain optimal inventory levels.
  • Labeling & Scanning: Apply labels to medication packaging and conduct thorough scans to ensure accuracy.
  • Attention to Detail: Alert supervisory pharmacists to any irregularities during scanning or packaging.
  • Workstation Maintenance: Keep workstations organized, replenishing supplies and maintaining cleanliness.
  • Confidentiality & Compliance: Adhere to all HIPAA guidelines and government regulations to ensure confidentiality and legal compliance.
  • Safety & Regulations: Follow all safety policies and regulations, with an understanding that standing for extended periods is a key aspect of the role.

    Qualifications:

  • Experience: At least 1 year of IV/TPN experience preferred.
  • Professional Attitude: Must demonstrate a professional attitude, with the ability to multi-task, prioritize, and work well in a fast-paced environment.
  • Punctuality & Attendance: Strong commitment to punctuality and attendance. Reliability is key for this role.
  • Licensing: Must possess a Massachusetts Tech License; PTCB certification is highly preferred.
  • Software: Familiarity with Frameworks software is a plus, but not required.
  • Attention to Detail: Ability to maintain high levels of accuracy and quality control under pressure.
  • Team Player: Must be able to work independently as well as collaborate effectively in a team environment.
