Position Details

  • Start Date: ASAP
  • Schedule: Monday – Friday, day shifts
  • Duration: 13 weeks with potential for temp-to-hire

    Your Role and Responsibilities
    As a Travel Oncology Pharmacist, you will be a key player in advancing patient care, operational efficiency, and clinical excellence.

  • Assess therapy for appropriateness, incorporating age-specific modifications and clinical interventions to prevent adverse drug events.
  • Conduct clinical research and professional development programs, serving as a liaison between departments to support new treatment regimens.
  • Supervise Pharmacy Technicians and support staff in preparing intravenous admixtures, chemotherapy, and sterile products.
  • Ensure proper storage and inventory of all required medications.
  • Work with the oncology team to standardize ordering procedures for chemotherapeutic medications.
  • Collaborate with the team to develop and update department and nursing policies.
  • Provide educational support to staff and patients for new treatment regimens.

    What We’re Looking For

  • At least 5+ years of acute care clinical experience in oncology.
  • Proven ability to mix compounds is required.
  • PGY1 Residency in Oncology (ASHP-accredited) required.
  • Board Certified Oncology Pharmacist (BCOP) certification required.
  • Must demonstrate independence and the ability to supervise support personnel effectively.
  • Expertise in managing specialty medications is a plus.
  • Candidates must have their own vehicle to meet the travel requirements of the position.
