Position Overview

This 13-week travel assignment (with temp-to-hire potential) is ideal for an experienced Oncology Pharmacist ready to contribute to patient care, research, and pharmacy operations. Work Monday through Friday during day shifts, and play a vital role in delivering excellence in oncology therapy management.

Job Details

    Key Responsibilities

  • Evaluate and optimize patient therapy, considering clinical interventions and age-specific needs.
  • Conduct clinical research and participate in professional development initiatives.
  • Serve as a liaison to the Cancer and Infusion Center, providing operational support and educational services.
  • Supervise Pharmacy Technicians and ensure compliance with sterile preparation regulations, including chemotherapy and IV admixtures.
  • Maintain accurate medication inventories and collaborate with the oncology team on standardizing ordering procedures.
  • Develop and revise departmental and nursing policies.

    Required Qualifications

  • Minimum of 5+ years of acute care clinical pharmacy experience.
  • Proven ability to independently mix compounds.
  • ASHP-accredited PGY1 Residency in Oncology is strongly preferred.
  • Board Certification in Oncology Pharmacy (BCOP) is strongly preferred.
  • Exceptional independence and the ability to work within established policies.
  • Supervisory experience with support staff.
  • Specialty pharmacy medication management expertise.
  • Reliable personal vehicle for travel assignments.
