Travel Inpatient Pharmacy Technician Big Island, Hawaii

Location: Big Island, Hawaii

Start Date: ASAP

Duration: 13 weeks with potential to extend

Schedule: Variable days and afternoon shifts; 8-hour shifts (full-time)

Setting: Inpatient hospital pharmacy

Systems Used: EPIC (Electronic Medical Records), Pyxis (Automated Dispensing Cabinets)

Key Responsibilities:

Assist pharmacists in the preparation and distribution of medications

Fill medication orders for inpatient units

Deliver medications throughout the hospital

Maintain inventory of medications and supplies

Operate automated dispensing machines (e.g., Pyxis)

Ensure compliance with hospital protocols and safety regulations

Provide support during emergency or high-volume situations

Qualifications:

Minimum of 1 year of recent inpatient pharmacy technician experience is required

Strong understanding of hospital pharmacy workflows and procedures

Comfortable with EMR systems and automated dispensing tools (experience with EPIC and Pyxis strongly preferred)

Ability to work flexible shifts and adapt to changing demands

National Pharmacy Technician Certification (CPhT) preferred but not required for all roles (state licensure requirements may apply)
