Key Responsibilities:

  • Foster a collaborative relationship with the store operations team and communicate company and department strategies to pharmacy staff.
  • Ensure the accuracy of prescriptions by conducting Drug Utilization Reviews and final quality assurance in compliance with state and federal regulations.
  • Manage pharmacy operations to build profitability and script growth through clinical programs such as immunizations and Medication Therapy Management (MTM).
  • Collaborate with the District Manager and pharmacy team to control inventory and meet customer demands.
  • Align department performance with key measurable metrics related to effectiveness and efficiency.
  • Provide exceptional customer service, including healthcare counseling and resolution of customer concerns.
  • Supervise pharmacists, pharmacy associates, and support staff, including directing training, coaching, and discipline.
  • Maintain pharmacy security and manage customer relationships to build trust and loyalty.
  • Engage with healthcare providers and use reference materials to resolve prescription-related issues.
  • Oversee department maintenance, training, staff development, and labor cost control.
  • Prioritize and complete pharmacy tasks such as cycle counts, inventory management, and handling customer will-call orders.
  • Desired Qualifications:

  • Bachelor of Pharmacy or PharmD degree.
  • Current, valid New York State Pharmacist License.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills.
  • Knowledge of pharmacy regulations and clinical programs.
