Pharmacy Technician-Shiloh, IL

RPh on the go is seeking a retail pharmacist for a 13-week assignment. The ideal candidate will have retail or mail order experience, along with pioneerRx.  

Monday - Friday   9:00am - 5:00pm

Key Responsibilities:

1. Medication Preparation and Dispensing:

2. Accurately prepare and dispense prescription medications under the supervision of a licensed pharmacist.
3. Measure, count, and label medications according to prescription orders.
4. Verify prescription information and dosage with the pharmacist.

5. Customer Service:

6. Interact with patients to answer questions about medications and health products.
7. Provide medication information and usage instructions to patients.
8. Handle prescription refills and process insurance claims.

9. Inventory Management:

10. Maintain and manage medication inventory, including ordering and restocking supplies.
11. Monitor and manage expiration dates and storage conditions of medications.
12. Dispose of expired or unused medications in accordance with regulatory guidelines.

13. Administrative Duties:

14. Maintain accurate patient records and prescription logs.
15. Process prescription and medication orders, including verifying patient information and insurance details.
16. Handle cash transactions and perform basic bookkeeping tasks.

17. Regulatory Compliance:

18. Follow all legal and regulatory requirements related to the dispensing of medications.
19. Ensure compliance with health and safety standards, including proper sanitation procedures.

20. Communication and Collaboration:

21. Work closely with pharmacists to discuss and resolve medication-related issues.
22. Collaborate with healthcare professionals to provide optimal patient care.
