Pharmacy Technician , Order Entry, Plymouth, MI

We are searching for a Pharmacy Technician for a full time assignment. As an Order Entry Pharmacy Technician, you'll play a crucial role in our pharmacy operations. Your responsibilities will include swiftly and accurately entering prescriptions into Framework/DocuTrack pharmacy system. Additionally, you'll communicate with customers over the phone, providing quick and courteous responses to their needs. Under the guidance of a pharmacist and in compliance with State law, Order Entry Pharmacy Technicians will be responsible for:

Schedule:   2nd shift: 2pm-10:30pm, 3pm-11:30pm or 4pm-12:30am
                       Monday - Friday, rotating holidays and weekends


Responsibilities:

Efficient order entry and follow-up

Troubleshooting prescription/patient data entry discrepancies

Ensuring accurate and timely prescription/patient information input

Collaborating with Order Entry leadership to meet department goals

Providing exceptional customer service to internal and external stakeholders

Must work with urgency and timeliness
Qualifications:

High school diploma or GED required

Current registration as a Pharmacy Technician or Trainee with the State Board of Pharmacy required
 Requirements:

Order entry experience

Strong computer skills

Thorough understanding of medical terminology and drug knowledge

Math and analytical skills, with a focus on calculations

Minimum of two (2) years working in a long-term care pharmacy preferred but not required
