We are looking for a dedicated Pharmacy Technician to join our team in Nashville, TN! This is a full-time, temp-to-hire position offering an exciting opportunity to grow in the pharmacy field while making a positive impact on patient care.

Position Overview

As a Pharmacy Technician, you will play a crucial role in patient care by assisting with medication refills, updating patient profiles, and ensuring timely and accurate medication distribution. You will work closely with pharmacists to maintain high standards of care and customer service.

Job Details

  • Location: Nashville, TN 37201
  • Schedule: Monday - Friday, Day Shifts

    Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate team schedules for patient follow-ups, refill assessments, and deliveries.
  • Communicate with patients to review medication inventory and ensure accurate medication refills.
  • Process orders and print labels and packing lists in a timely manner.
  • Maintain accurate documentation in progress notes and update patient profiles in the EMR system.
  • Work closely with physicians and other healthcare providers to ensure optimal patient care.
  • Collaborate with the Warehouse Coordinator to ensure timely delivery and supply of patient needs.
  • Assist pharmacists in obtaining laboratory values and forwarding them to the appropriate physician.
  • Notify the Reimbursement team of patient hospitalizations, prescription changes, or status updates.
  • Assist with scheduling pick-ups for equipment and medical waste.

    Required Qualifications

  • Completion of a Pharmacy Technician training program/certification (based on state regulations).
  • Strong computer skills (Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong interpersonal and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work efficiently under pressure and meet deadlines.

    Preferred Qualifications

  • At least 6 months of pharmacy technician or related experience.
  • Familiarity with pharmacy procedures, Home Infusion, Specialty Infusion, and Durable Medical Equipment (DME) is a plus.
  • 2+ years of computer data entry experience or in a related field.
