Pharmacy Technician Contract 

Responsible for assisting pharmacists in preparing and distributing medications, maintaining the drug inventory, and maintaining patient records; prepares IV admixtures (low risk) after passing a written and manipulative competency.  Works under direct supervision of a Pharmacist.

High School diploma or equivalent required. College courses desirable, but not required.  Pharmacy Technician certification required.  2-3 years pharmacy experience preferred, but not required.

Description:

The Intake Technician of Specialty Pharmacy will work with Pharmacists in the inputting of new referrals, insurance verification, prior authorizations and daily follow-up and communication within the department and our clinics.

The technician assists in the provision of pharmaceutical services under supervision of the Registered Pharmacist by performing the technical, clerical and manipulative tasks involved in dispensing, preparing and distributing all medications and pharmaceutical products for all patient age groups. Work and/or performance shall conform to written established policies and procedures.

Qualifications • High School graduate or equivalent • Pharmacy Technician Registration •
