Job Title: Pharmacy Technician - Long-Term Care Experience a Plus
Location: Charlotte, North Carolina
Shift: Monday – Friday -  10:00am – 7:00pm

Job Summary:
RPh on the Go is seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Pharmacy Technician to join our team in Charlotte, North Carolina. The ideal candidate will assist pharmacists in preparing, dispensing, and distributing medications. While prior experience in long-term care pharmacy is a plus, it is not required. This role is ideal for individuals who are passionate about patient care and committed to supporting pharmacy operations in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:
•    Assist pharmacists in the preparation and dispensing of prescription medications to patients in various care settings, including long-term care facilities.
•    Perform accurate data entry for prescriptions, ensuring proper dosage, patient details, and drug interactions are carefully reviewed.
•    Manage and maintain medication inventory, including stocking, ordering, and tracking medication expiration dates.
•    Package and label medications, including unit-dose packaging and blister packs, for long-term care facilities.
•    Ensure compliance with North Carolina state and federal pharmacy regulations, including controlled substance management and documentation.
•    Assist in resolving patient, caregiver, and healthcare provider inquiries about prescriptions, refills, and medication management.
•    Collaborate with the pharmacy team to provide high-quality, patient-centered service.
•    Perform additional administrative duties as assigned by the pharmacist, including processing prior authorizations and assisting with insurance claims.

Qualifications:
•    Active Pharmacy Technician license in good standing with the North Carolina Board of Pharmacy.
•    Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) preferred but not required.
•    1-2 years of pharmacy technician experience in a retail, hospital, or long-term care setting.
•    Strong proficiency with pharmacy software systems and data entry.
•    Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in preparing and packaging medications.
•    Strong understanding of medical terminology, medication names, and dosing.
•    Strong organizational and communication skills.
•    Ability to work in a team environment, manage multiple tasks, and meet deadlines.
