Location: Tulsa, OK

Setting: Hospital

Shift: Day shifts

Essential Duties:

• Reviews, processes, and dispenses physician medication orders and prescriptions.
• Prepares and supervises the preparation of IV admixtures and chemotherapy.
• Provides therapeutic drug monitoring consultation, including determination of appropriate loading dose, maintenance dose, and predicted blood levels based on patient-specific parameters and disease process.
• Maintains routine workflow, integrates non-routine work, and relays information as necessary to the oncoming shift.
• Consistently monitors and follows up with unresolved medication order issues.
• Monitors lab orders and department messages and follows up as needed.
• Properly document clinical interventions in the EHR system using the provided guidelines.
• Knowledge and experience with Pyxis and other electronic Med stations.
• Monitors and supervises Technician activity and checks all medications before being filled into Med Stations.
• Maintains all emergency drugs during the shift.

Qualifications, Skills, and Experience:

• BS in Pharmacy or PharmD.
• One year of experience in an inpatient pharmacy.
• Active Oklahoma Pharmacist License.
