An established compounding pharmacy is seeking a seasoned Pharmacist-in-Charge (PIC) to lead regulatory, compliance, and quality assurance operations at its Ohio facility. This onsite role offers stability, leadership growth, and direct impact on facility operations. Relocation assistance is available, and candidates interested in a temp-to-perm arrangement may be considered.

  • Monday through Friday
  • Key Responsibilities:

  • Serve as Pharmacist-in-Charge for Ohio and additional non-resident state licenses as applicable
  • Ensure compliance with FDA, DEA, State Boards of Pharmacy, and Section 503B regulations
  • Maintain pharmacist and facility licensure across multiple states
  • Lead and represent the facility during Board of Pharmacy, FDA, and DEA inspections and regulatory meetings
  • Develop, review, and maintain SOPs and training materials
  • Oversee regulatory reporting, recalls, complaints, and quality investigations
  • Provide regulatory guidance to cross-functional teams
  • Manage QA/QC functions including batch record review, deviations, investigations, and environmental monitoring
  • Oversee validation activities and maintain the Quality Management System (QMS)
  • Review and approve change controls, product labeling, and annual product reviews
  • Supervise incoming materials testing, vendor qualification, and reserve sample programs
  • Manage environmental monitoring trending and root cause analysis
  • Present quality metrics to site and corporate leadership
  • Qualifications:

  • Active Ohio Pharmacist license in good standing
  • Experience with licensure in multiple states preferred
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Pharmacy (BS) or Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD)
  • Minimum 5 years of leadership experience managing teams
  • Strong knowledge of cGMP, FDA, DEA regulations, sterile injectable manufacturing, and non-sterile compounding
  • Proven leadership in inspections and regulatory audits
  • Excellent communication skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office
  • Preferred Experience:

  • 10+ years in pharmaceutical, biotech, medical device, or related industries
  • 7+ years in quality or compliance with increasing responsibility
