Pharmacist in Charge (PIC) Home Infusion | Wayne, NJ
We are seeking a highly experienced and motivated Pharmacist in Charge (PIC) for a home infusion pharmacy based in Wayne, NJ. This is a full-time, weekday position for a licensed pharmacist with a strong background in sterile compounding and multi-state operations.
Schedule: Monday – Friday
Key Responsibilities:
Oversee day-to-day pharmacy operations, ensuring compliance with all state and federal regulations
Supervise sterile compounding operations in alignment with USP <797> and <800> standards
Provide leadership in clinical pharmacy services across long-term care, hospital, and specialty settings
Manage pharmacy staff, ensuring efficient workflow and high standards of patient care
Coordinate multi-state dispensing and maintain compliance with licensing requirements
Participate in regulatory inspections and audits
Drive quality improvement and process optimization initiatives
Requirements:
PharmD from an accredited college of pharmacy
Active pharmacist license in good standing in at least four U.S. states, with willingness to obtain additional licensure as needed (AL, AK, AR, IA, KS, KY, LA, MD, MA, MI, MS, NE, OH, OK, OR, TN, TX, VA, WV)
Minimum 3–5 years of sterile compounding experience, preferably in a supervisory or leadership role
Strong understanding of USP <797> and <800> standards
Clinical experience in long-term care, hospital, or specialty pharmacy settings required
Leadership and management experience required
Prior experience with regulatory audits strongly preferred
