Position Overview

  • Title: Pharmacist | Leadership Role | Canton, NY
  • Job Type: Direct Hire
  • Location: Canton, NY (13617)
  • Schedule: Variable | 38 hours/week
  • Monday – Friday: 8 AM – 8 PM
  • Saturday – Sunday: 9 AM – 5 PM
  • Compensation: $62/hr – $65/hr

    Key Responsibilities

  • Leadership and Compliance:

  • Register with the state board of pharmacy as the supervising pharmacist or pharmacist-in-charge.
  • Ensure full compliance with all federal, state, and board of pharmacy regulations as well as company policies.
  • Pharmacy Operations:

  • Oversee all aspects of the pharmacy department, including budget, payroll, scheduling, inventory management, and third-party administration, to maintain financial viability.
  • Develop and execute business initiatives to promote pharmacy growth within the store and local community.
  • Team Management:

  • Guide, train, and manage pharmacy support staff, conducting performance reviews and ensuring adherence to policies.
  • Hold team members accountable for meeting professional and regulatory standards while fostering continuous learning.
  • Patient-Centered Care:

  • Lead immunization efforts, Medication Therapy Management (MTM), and wellness programs to enhance patient outcomes.
  • Counsel patients and healthcare providers on medications, interactions, dosages, and side effects, monitoring therapy effectiveness.
  • Continuous Improvement:

  • Maintain a clean and compliant workstation in accordance with legal and company standards.
  • Participate in quality improvement programs and complete all required continuing education.

    Ideal Candidate Profile

  • Holds a valid New York State Pharmacist License.
  • Possesses an Immunization Certification (Required).
  • Comfortable administering all vaccines with precision and care.
  • A visionary leader with strong organizational skills and a passion for advancing patient care.
