Position Overview
Title: Per Diem Retail Pharmacist – Mesa, AZ
Summary: Be part of a trusted per diem team available to provide coverage for sick calls, time-off, and seasonal demand across local retail pharmacy locations.
Job Type: Per Diem
Location: Mesa, AZ 85201
Schedule: Monday–Saturday; most locations open 10:00 AM to 7:00 PM (some until 8:00 PM)
Start Date: Flexible; onboarding and training provided
Duration: Ongoing per diem pool with long-term opportunities
Key Responsibilities
Safely verify and dispense prescriptions in a high-quality retail pharmacy environment
Deliver friendly, accurate counseling on medication use, side effects, and administration
Provide immunizations as needed
Collaborate with experienced tech teams to streamline daily operations
Adapt quickly to new environments and provide consistent patient-centered care
Ideal Candidate
Works part-time or has open availability for 2–4 days/week
Comfortable with short-notice or same-day shift requests
Strong interpersonal skills and a customer-service focus
Professional, punctual, and solution-oriented in fast-moving settings
Job Requirements
Active Arizona Pharmacist license in good standing
Minimum 1–2 years of retail pharmacy experience
Certified to administer immunizations (required)
Valid BLS certification (required)
Proficiency with QS1 software preferred
Willing to complete a paid 8-hour training shift; additional training available upon request
