RPh on the go is searching for a Part-Time Retail Pharmacy Technician to work in Cincinnati, Ohio. 

Hours: Mon - Fri 8:00am - 12:00pm 20/hours a week

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Prescription Processing:

  2. Accurately and efficiently fill prescription orders under the supervision of the pharmacist.
  3. Verify prescription information and patient details to ensure accuracy.
  4. Label medications correctly and provide necessary information to customers.
  5. Prepare and dispense medications, including oral tablets, capsules, liquids, and other forms.
  6. Customer Service:

  7. Provide friendly and professional assistance to customers, addressing their inquiries and concerns.
  8. Offer guidance on over-the-counter medications and health products.
  9. Assist with insurance claims and handle prescription refills and transfers.
  10. Inventory Management:

  11. Monitor and manage medication inventory, including ordering, stocking, and checking for expired products.
  12. Ensure that medications are stored properly and adhere to safety and quality standards.
  13. Conduct regular inventory checks and report discrepancies to the pharmacist.
  14. Regulatory Compliance:

  15. Adhere to all pharmacy laws, regulations, and company policies.
  16. Maintain accurate records of medication dispensed, including controlled substances.
  17. Ensure proper documentation and confidentiality of patient information.
  18. Pharmacy Operations:

  19. Assist with pharmacy administrative tasks, including data entry and record keeping.
  20. Support the pharmacist in preparing medications and performing routine pharmacy duties.
  21. Maintain a clean and organized work environment, including the pharmacy counter and workstations.
  22. Communication and Teamwork:

  23. Collaborate effectively with pharmacists, other pharmacy staff, and healthcare providers.
  24. Communicate clearly with customers, providing education on medication use and side effects.
  25. Participate in ongoing training and professional development to stay updated on industry practices.


Job Duties:

  • Assist the pharmacist with serving patients and maintaining the pharmacy department
  • Greet customers and answer questions.
  • Receive prescriptions and check their validity.
  • Process prescriptions electronically and ensure all information is complete and accurate.
  • Resolve issues when they arise (e.g., rejected insurance claims).
  • Select the appropriate medicine and measure dosages to fill prescriptions.
  • Sort, stock, label medication and monitor inventory.


    Required: 

  • Pharmacy Technician license in the state of Ohio
