Soliant Health is currently hiring a California-licensed pharmacist for a full-time contract opportunity in Los Angeles, CA, serving within a correctional healthcare setting. This is a long-term, open-ended position ideal for professionals who are confident in clinical decision-making, thrive in structured environments, and are committed to providing high-quality care to vulnerable populations.

This position offers pharmacists the chance to step into a vital role at one of the most well-established correctional health systems in the country. Working in a 24/7 inpatient facility, you’ll contribute directly to safe, effective medication therapy and collaborate closely with medical staff in a highly regulated and mission-driven environment.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Dispense medications in accordance with state laws, facility protocols, and patient safety standards

  • Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and care teams to optimize medication regimens

  • Monitor patient responses and document therapeutic interventions

  • Participate in institutional processes including audits, inventory control, and compliance reviews

    Schedule:

  • 7.5-hour shifts, 37.5 hours per week

  • Flexibility required to work days (7:00 AM – 2:30 PM), evenings (2:00 PM – 10:00 PM), and overnights (10:00 PM – 6:00 AM) as needed

  • Most shifts will fall during evenings

    Minimum Requirements:

  • Active California Pharmacist license

  • At least 2 years of recent experience in a retail or outpatient pharmacy setting

  • Comfortable working in a correctional facility environment

  • Local to Los Angeles or able to reliably commute

  • Must be able to attend an on-site interview on April 17, 2025

  • Willing and able to complete the required clearance process, competency exam, onboarding, and health screenings

    This contract position is an excellent opportunity to gain highly specialized correctional pharmacy experience while contributing to a large and respected county health system. Many of our pharmacists have successfully transitioned from contract to permanent roles within the system, though timelines may vary.

    Due to the time-sensitive nature of this role and the onboarding requirements, we are seeking candidates who are prepared to move through the full clearance and credentialing process, which can take 6–10 weeks.
