Location: Portland, ME
Assignment: 12 Weeks – Temp to Hire Opportunity
Schedule: Rotating 8-Hour Shifts, Monday–Friday, with Rotating Weekends
Environment: Long-Term Care (LTC) Mail Order Pharmacy
Shift Details:
• Rotating Shifts: 7:30am–4:00pm, 11:00am–7:30pm, 12:30pm–9:00pm
• Pharmacy Hours: 7:00am–9:00pm
• Rotating weekends required
Job Responsibilities:
• Dispense prescription medications and counsel patients on proper use
• Monitor medication adherence and usage patterns
• Ensure legal compliance with medication storage and distribution
• Maintain and manage accurate patient and pharmacy records
• Provide consultations on prescription/non-prescription meds, interactions, and side effects
• Educate patients on medical devices and wellness services (e.g., BP monitoring, smoking cessation)
• Compound medications and prepare sterile solutions when needed
• Supervise pharmacy technicians and support staff
• Maintain inventory of medical and pharmaceutical supplies
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and healthcare professionals to ensure quality care
