We are currently seeking a licensed Pharmacist for a 13-week contract assignment in Albuquerque, NM. This role has the potential to convert to a permanent position based on performance and business needs. Ideal for pharmacists looking for steady evening work in a closed-door pharmacy environment.

Position Details:

  • Start Date: July 21

  • End Date: October 20

  • Shift: Monday–Friday, 3:00 PM – 12:00 AM

  • Weekends: Rotating

  • Location: Albuquerque, NM

  • Pay Rate: $60+ / hour


    Key Responsibilities:

  • Dispense and verify prescription medications

  • Monitor medication adherence and identify overuse

  • Ensure legal and clinical compliance with all prescriptions

  • Maintain accurate and confidential patient records

  • Counsel patients on proper medication use, side effects, and interactions

  • Provide consultations on both prescription and OTC medications

  • Offer patient services such as smoking cessation and chronic condition monitoring

  • Educate patients on medical device usage (e.g., glucose monitors, BP cuffs)

  • Compound medications and prepare sterile solutions

  • Supervise pharmacy technicians, clerks, and interns

  • Manage inventory and pharmaceutical supplies

  • Communicate effectively with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals

    Requirements:

  • Active New Mexico Pharmacist License (must be in-hand)

  • Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree required

  • Previous experience in long-term care or closed-door settings preferred

  • Strong clinical judgment and attention to detail

  • Ability to work independently and manage a team during evening hours
