Long Term Care Pharmacist in Charge (Full Time) - Central Texas
An established Long Term Care pharmacy is hiring a full-time Pharmacist In Charge (PIC) to oversee operations, manage staff, and ensure the highest level of patient safety and regulatory compliance. Position Summary:
This role places you at the forefront of pharmacy operations, with responsibilities ranging from team leadership and regulatory adherence to quality control and patient-focused care. The ideal candidate is a results-driven professional with a deep understanding of the LTC pharmacy environment.
Key Responsibilities:
* Manage and supervise daily pharmacy functions
* Ensure all medication handling and distribution complies with legal and company standards
* Lead quality assurance efforts and internal audits
* Oversee prescription verification and compliance
* Provide guidance and oversight to pharmacy staff
* Support inventory management and operational efficiency
Required Qualifications:
* 5+ years of experience in a Long Term Care pharmacy setting
* Previous leadership experience as a PIC or supervisory pharmacist
* Thorough knowledge of pharmacy laws, SOPs, and quality standards
* Strong leadership, communication, and team-building skills
* Valid Pharmacist license and pharmacy degree from an accredited institution
* Experience with pharmacy management systems and MS Office tools
