Long Term Care Pharmacist In Charge (Austin, TX)

A respected Long Term Care pharmacy is seeking a full-time Pharmacist In Charge (PIC) to lead daily operations and support a high standard of pharmaceutical care. Position Overview: 

The Pharmacist In Charge will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of pharmacy operations, ensuring patient safety, and maintaining compliance with state and federal regulations. This role requires a visible and hands-on leader capable of fostering a productive and collaborative environment. 

Responsibilities Include: 

* Lead pharmacy operations and maintain compliance with laws and policies 

* Oversee medication preparation, storage, and distribution 

* Manage quality assurance programs and enforce safe practices 

* Review prescriptions for legality and accuracy 

* Support and train staff to achieve performance goals 

* Maintain proper inventory and ensure safe medication management 

Candidate Qualifications: 

* Minimum 5 years of Long Term Care pharmacy experience 

* Prior experience in a leadership or PIC role 

* Strong command of pharmacy compliance standards and best practices 

* Excellent organizational and communication skills 

* Licensed Pharmacist with a degree from an accredited program 

* Proficiency in pharmacy software and MS Office
