Soliant Pharmacy Pharmacy-Pharmacist in Charge Contract 15 days ago Apply

A great short-term leadership opportunity is now open for an experienced hospital pharmacist ready to step into a temporary PIC/Manager role at a 125-bed acute care facility in Redding, CA. This assignment is expected to last approximately 4 to 6 weeks, starting ASAP, and is ideal for a pharmacist with strong hospital operations experience who is confident in leading a team and overseeing daily pharmacy functions.

The selected candidate will serve as the temporary bridge between leadership transitions, maintaining compliance, operational integrity, and staff coordination until the incoming Director begins mid-June. You’ll work closely with hospital administration and pharmacy staff to support daily activities while ensuring regulatory standards and initiatives are met.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee day-to-day pharmacy operations and ensure regulatory compliance

  • Lead department meetings and represent pharmacy in hospital-wide initiatives

  • Manage staffing, budgeting, and HR matters within the pharmacy

  • Take point on corporate policies and ensure procedural alignment

    Requirements:

  • Active California Pharmacist license

  • Recent hospital pharmacy experience

  • Willingness to serve as Pharmacist-in-Charge (PIC)

  • Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills

  • Full-time availability for the full duration of the contract

This is a great chance to take on a leadership role without long-term commitment, contribute meaningfully to a hospital in need, and make an impact during a transitional period.
