Schedule: Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
On-Call: Required

Position Overview

A Critical Access Hospital in Louisiana is seeking an Interim Pharmacist-in-Charge (PIC) to oversee pharmacy operations and provide direct staffing. This is a hands-on leadership role managing a small inpatient pharmacy. For more information, reach out to [email protected] 470.837.5828.

Key Responsibilities

  • Serve as Pharmacist-in-Charge (PIC) while also handling staffing duties.
  • Verify medication orders and ensure compliance with hospital policies and regulations.
  • Supervise and collaborate with one pharmacy technician (no PRN support available).
  • Provide on-call coverage as needed.
  • Work closely with hospital staff to support patient care.
  • Adapt to potential Remote Pharmacy Services for night/weekend order entry.

    Qualifications

  • Active Louisiana Pharmacist License (required).
  • Previous hospital pharmacy experience preferred.
  • Strong leadership skills and ability to manage pharmacy operations independently.
  • Comfortable with on-call responsibilities.
