Job Overview

A Critical Access Hospital in Louisiana is seeking an Interim Pharmacist-in-Charge (PIC) to lead and manage pharmacy operations while also handling staffing duties. Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee all PIC duties, ensuring compliance with hospital and regulatory standards.
  • Perform daily staffing responsibilities, including medication verification and dispensing.
  • Supervise and collaborate with one pharmacy technician (no PRN support available).
  • Provide on-call support as needed.
  • Assist with the implementation of remote pharmacy services for night/weekend order entry.

    Qualifications

  • Active Louisiana Pharmacist License (required).
  • Prior hospital pharmacy experience preferred.
  • Strong leadership and decision-making skills.
  • Ability to handle both management and staffing responsibilities.
