We are seeking a dedicated Inpatient Staff Pharmacist for a 13-week assignment at a premier healthcare facility in Austin, TX. The ideal candidate will have experience working in a hospital setting, specifically with IV dose preparation and proficiency in using EPIC EMR. Job Title: Inpatient Staff Pharmacist
Location: Austin, TX
Duration: 13-week Assignment (Start Date: 12/23)
Shift: Mostly Days (6:30 AM - 7:00 PM), 4x10-hour shifts. Flexibility to work overnight shifts (6:30 PM - 7:00 AM) when needed.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and dispense medications for inpatient pediatric patients, ensuring safety and accuracy.
  • Perform IV dose preparation and compounding of sterile products.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to ensure optimal pharmacotherapy outcomes.
  • Utilize EPIC EMR for medication orders and patient data management.
  • Ensure compliance with all hospital policies, procedures, and regulatory standards.
  • Flexibility to assist with overnight shifts (6:30 PM - 7:00 AM) when needed.

    Position Requirements:

    1. Bachelor’s degree or Ph.D. in Pharmacy (required).
    2. RPH certification from the state of Texas (required).
    3. 2+ years of hospital staff pharmacist experience (preferred).
    4. 40 hours of ACPE or ASHP-accredited training in compounding sterile products (required).
    5. Must have TX pharmacy license and ACPE IV Certification (required).
    6. Proficiency with EPIC EMR (required).
