We are seeking an experienced and dedicated inpatient pharmacist for a 13-week contract at a hospital in Philadelphia, PA. The ideal candidate will have a strong clinical background and a commitment to ensuring safe and effective medication use in a hospital setting.

Start Date: July 21
Duration: 13 weeks+
Schedule: Five 8-hour shifts per week

Job Description:
The pharmacist will be responsible for reviewing all medication orders from physicians and physician extenders, ensuring drug, dose, frequency, and route of administration are appropriate. Responsibilities include:

Reviewing patient allergies, history, drug interactions, and lab data for clinical accuracy prior to dispensing

Overseeing inventory control and ensuring safe and accurate medication preparation

Providing drug information and support to healthcare professionals

Supervising pharmacy students and technicians

Collaborating with the healthcare team on discharge planning and continuity of care

Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy from an ACPE-accredited program (required); PharmD (preferred)

Active and unrestricted Pennsylvania pharmacist license (required)

1 year of hospital experience or APPE in a clinical setting (preferred)

BLS certification (preferred)
