Job Description:
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Hospital Pharmacist to join our team at a Medical Center in Ontario, CA. This position offers an ASAP start with a schedule of 4 x 10-hour shifts per week, primarily during the day, with some weekend shifts. The contract duration is initially 13 weeks, with potential for extension based on performance and hospital needs.
Key Responsibilities:

Order verification and medication management

Supervise and guide pharmacy technicians

Consult with physicians and nurses on medication therapy and patient care

Apply pharmacokinetics principles for medication dosing and monitoring

Ensure medication safety, efficacy, and proper utilization

Utilize IT systems like Cerner and Omnicell for medication ordering and management Qualifications:

Active California Pharmacist license

Hospital pharmacy experience preferred

Familiarity with Cerner and Omnicell is a plus

Strong communication and collaboration skills with healthcare teams

Ability to supervise and mentor pharmacy technicians

Knowledge of pharmacokinetics and clinical pharmacy practices Benefits:
