An established pediatric hospital in Austin, TX, is seeking an experienced and certified Inpatient/IV Pharmacy Technician for a 13-week assignment. Position Overview: This assignment offers a consistent, full-time schedule with rotating weekends, working 5x8-hour shifts between 6:30 AM and 11:30 PM. Bring your pharmacy expertise to a team focused on quality and patient care in a specialized pediatric setting.

Job Details:

  • Location: Austin, TX
  • Start Date: November 18, 2024
  • Duration: 13-week contract
  • Schedule: 5x8-hour shifts (6:30 AM - 11:30 PM), rotating weekends

    Key Responsibilities:

  • Support medication preparation and delivery with precision and accuracy under hospital protocols
  • Ensure adherence to hospital standards in sterile product compounding and handling
  • Leverage EPIC for medication order processing and documentation
  • Work effectively in a pediatric environment, focusing on specialized care for young patients

    Candidate Requirements:

  • Licensure: Must have a current RPHT-TX (Registered Pharmacy Technician) from the Texas State Board of Pharmacy
  • Certification: CPHT certification from the Pharmacy Technician Certification Board preferred
  • Experience: At least 2 years of pharmacy technician experience (hospital experience preferred); pediatric experience is a plus
  • Sterile Compounding Training: 40 hours of accredited training in sterile compounding from ACPE or ASHP preferred
  • Software: EPIC experience is required
