Are you an experienced Inpatient Pharmacist ready to take on a challenging and rewarding role in a fast-paced hospital setting? We are seeking a dedicated Clinical Pharmacist to join a busy facility in the Northwestern Boston area for a 13-week contract. This is a dynamic opportunity to contribute to patient care while working in a high-energy environment.

Position Overview

As an Inpatient Clinical Pharmacist, you will be responsible for checking and verifying medications, including IVs. Hands-on IV-making experience is highly preferred, and clinical rounding experience will be a plus. You will be working alongside a dedicated team, ensuring medication safety and contributing to the overall success of the pharmacy department.

Job Details

  • Location: Boston, MA
  • End Date: 13 weeks
  • Shift: Mix of days/evenings (5x8-hour shifts), rotating weekends
  • EMR: EPIC
  • Cabinets: Pyxis ES

    Key Responsibilities

  • Verify and check medications, including IVs, ensuring accuracy and compliance with regulations.
  • Hands-on IV preparation and compounding (preferred).
  • Participate in clinical rounding to assess and optimize medication therapy.
  • Collaborate with medical and nursing staff to provide optimal care for patients.
  • Maintain accurate medication records and ensure proper documentation.

    Required Qualifications

  • At least 1+ years of inpatient pharmacy experience.
  • Experience with EPIC and Pyxis ES is a plus.
  • Strong knowledge of IV medication preparation and clinical pharmacy practices.
  • Ability to work well under pressure and handle a high-volume workload.
