Responsibilities

-Review and verify medication orders for infusion therapies accurately and efficiently
-Oversee the preparation and dispensing of sterile compounded medications
-Ensure full compliance with USP 797 and USP 800 standards throughout all compounding activities
-Provide clinical support and drug information to pharmacy staff and patients
-Collaborate with the pharmacy team to maintain a smooth workflow and patient safety
-Maintain accurate documentation and regulatory compliance at all times

Experience

-Recent home infusion or infusion pharmacy experience required for permanent placement
-Strong sterile compounding experience required
-Familiarity with USP 797 and USP 800 guidelines required
-Retail pharmacy experience considered for contract coverage only
-Ability to work independently and adapt quickly in a fast-paced environment

Skills

-Strong clinical judgment in infusion and sterile compounding environments
-Detail oriented with excellent documentation and compliance standards
-Collaborative and reliable team member
-Comfortable working independently with minimal supervision

Qualifications

-Active North Carolina Pharmacist License in good standing required
-Not required to serve as Pharmacist in Charge during the contract period
-Must be willing to step into the PIC role if converted to a permanent hire

Education

-Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) or Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy from an accredited college of pharmacy
