Position: Infusion Pharmacist 
Location: Gainesville, FL
Start Date: ASAP
End Date: 8-12 weeks (Contract)
Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM
Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Infusion Pharmacist to join our team in Gainesville, FL, for a temporary contract position. The ideal candidate will play a key role in ensuring safe and accurate preparation and verification of IV medications, working hands-on with the infusion process in a clinical setting. This is a great opportunity for professionals with a strong background in infusion therapy to contribute to patient care.
Key Responsibilities:

  • Review and verify the accuracy of IV orders, ensuring proper medication, dosage, and administration methods are followed.
  • Prepare sterile IV medications, including TPN, chemotherapy, and other infusion therapies, in a controlled and safe environment.
  • Work closely with nursing and medical teams to provide accurate medication information and ensure safe infusion practices.
  • Maintain accurate records for each patient’s medication regimen.
  • Ensure compliance with pharmacy laws, safety standards, and regulations.
  • Monitor inventory of IV supplies and medications, ordering as needed to maintain stock.
  • Provide education and guidance to staff on the preparation and administration of intravenous medications.
  • Utilize CPR+ for tracking, verification, and documentation of medication orders.

    Experience and Qualifications:

  • Prior experience in infusion pharmacy or clinical pharmacy practice is highly preferred.
  • Experience with inpatient IV services or sterile compounding is essential.
  • Knowledge of infusion therapies such as chemotherapy, pain management, and TPN is beneficial.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
  • Ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues related to infusion therapy and medication preparation.
  • Excellent communication skills for collaborating with healthcare providers and patient care teams.

    Required Qualifications:

  • Valid Florida Pharmacist License in good standing.
  • Experience with CPR+ system or similar pharmacy software is preferred but not required.
