Full-Time Pharmacist (IV/TPN Supervisor)- Plymouth, MI

We are seeking a Michigan-licensed pharmacist for a temp-to-perm opportunity as an IV/TPN supervisor in a sterile compounding setting in Plymouth. This facility is transitioning TPN preparation in-house and requires a pharmacist with recent IV infusion and TPN experience (2023 or later) to oversee operations and ensure compliance with updated USP 797 regulations.


Schedule: Full-time, Monday - Friday, 10:00 AM – 6:30 PM.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee IV department workflow, ensuring timely and accurate preparation of IV medications.
  • Supervise and train IV pharmacy technicians, providing performance evaluations and feedback.
  • Manage department scheduling, PTO requests, and staff performance.
  • Ensure compliance with USP 797, state, and federal regulations.
  • Direct involvement in preparation, mixing, labeling, and packaging of IV medications, including TPN, antibiotics, and other sterile compounds.
  • Maintain sterile compounding records using Simplifi797 or similar software.
  • Oversee the cleaning and maintenance of IV cleanrooms and sterile compounding areas.
  • Ensure proper maintenance and certification of IV-related equipment and infusion pumps.


    Requirements:

  • Active Michigan pharmacist license (unrestricted, in good standing).
  • Recent hands-on home infusion and TPN experience (within the last two years).
  • Inpatient hospital or home infusion experience – dosing, sterile and non-sterile experience required.
  • 5-10 years of leadership experience preferred (junior level).
  • Strong knowledge of USP 797, aseptic techniques, and IV therapy best practices.
  • Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills.
