Job Opportunity: Outpatient Pharmacy Patient Services Representative (PSR) with Billing Expertise

Location: Outpatient Pharmacy
Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM
Duration: 13 weeks (Potential for permanent hire for the right candidate)

Position Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Patient Services Representative (PSR) with billing knowledge to join our Outpatient Pharmacy team. This pivotal role focuses on delivering excellent patient service while managing insurance and billing inquiries. There is an opportunity for this role to transition into a permanent position for the right candidate.

Key Responsibilities:

Patient Interaction: Welcome patients, check them in, and assist with any inquiries or concerns to ensure a positive experience.

Insurance and Billing: Collect insurance information, co-pays, deductibles, and balances. Address any insurance-related issues or discrepancies.

Administrative Support: Assist with various administrative tasks to support the pharmacy team.

Qualifications and Skills:

Education: High school diploma or GED required.

Experience: Minimum 3 years in a healthcare-related position, with a focus on billing and insurance.

Communication: Strong written and verbal communication skills to effectively interact with patients and colleagues.

Technical: Basic proficiency in computers and office equipment.

Patient-Focused: A compassionate, patient-first approach with the ability to handle sensitive situations.
