Full Time Hospital Pharmacist - Macomb, IL
Soliant Health is seeking a reliable and experienced Hospital Pharmacist for a 13-week travel assignment in Macomb, IL. This rural hospital setting offers an excellent opportunity for pharmacists who enjoy a close-knit care environment and a broad scope of responsibilities. Located within a few hours of Peoria, Macomb offers a quiet setting with strong community values and scenic countryside views.
Assignment Details:
This is a full-time, Monday through Friday position, with shifts running either 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM or 10:30 AM – 7:00 PM. There is potential for weekend rotations based on hospital needs. This contract may be extended depending on performance and staffing.
Key Responsibilities:Review and verify physician medication orders
Prepare and dispense IV and oral medications
Conduct pharmacokinetic dosing and therapeutic drug monitoring
Provide clinical guidance on nutritional support and IV therapy
Communicate effectively with providers, nurses, and support staff to ensure optimal patient outcomes
Maintain compliance with federal/state regulations and hospital policies
Requirements:
Active and unrestricted Illinois Pharmacist license
Minimum of 1 year of recent inpatient hospital experience required
Experience or training in IV therapy, TPN/nutritional support, and pharmacokinetics strongly required
Able to function independently in a smaller, team-oriented environment
Excellent communication and organizational skills
