A premier 97-bed community hospital in Hillsdale, Michigan seeks a dedicated Pharmacist to join their dynamic healthcare team. This position offers a unique "7-on/7-off" schedule with comprehensive responsibilities across both inpatient and skilled nursing facility settings.

POSITION OVERVIEW

As a vital member of the clinical pharmacy team, you will provide expert medication management services for a diverse patient population, including approximately 20-35 acute care patients and 30 skilled nursing facility residents. This role combines clinical expertise with multidisciplinary collaboration in a supportive community hospital environment.

SCHEDULE DETAILS

  • "7-on/7-off" rotation (every other week)
  • Monday - Friday: 1:00 PM - 9:00 PM plus on-call coverage 9:00 PM - 7:00 AM
  • Saturday - Sunday: 8:00 AM - 6:00 PM plus on-call coverage overnight
  • Immediate start date available with long-term potential

    ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Perform comprehensive medication order verification for both inpatient and outpatient settings
  • Provide IV preparation oversight, dosing calculations, and clinical verification
  • Serve as the medication expert for all clinical staff
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to optimize patient care
  • Oversee medication safety protocols and regulatory compliance
  • Provide on-call consultation during overnight hours
  • Support and direct pharmacy technician team members

    REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Active Michigan Pharmacist license
  • Strong IV compounding knowledge and dosing expertise
  • Proficiency with CPSI pharmacy system
  • Experience with Omnicell automated dispensing cabinets
  • Excellent clinical decision-making abilities
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Hospital pharmacy experience
  • Familiarity with skilled nursing facility medication management
  • Ability to complete 1-2 days of required training/orientation
