Director of Pharmacy (DOP) - Lancaster, CA

We are seeking a qualified Director of Pharmacy to join a critical access hospital. This is a leadership role ideal for a DOP with strong experience in policy, regulatory compliance, and operational oversight. The DOP is not expected to staff or act as PIC but will manage and oversee all pharmacy operations Monday through Friday from 8 AM - 5 PM. Staffed Beds: 25
Average Daily Census: 20
Schedule: 8:00 AM – 5 PM (M-F)
On-call not required
Remote order entry (Pipeline) covers closed hours
Staffing Structure:
5–6 full-time pharmacists
6–7 pharmacy technicians
Additional PRN support available
Systems Used:
Order Entry System: Paragon / Allscripts
Automation System: Pyxis
Remote Order Entry: Pipeline
Important Notes:
No chemotherapy at facility and DOP will not need to compound
No staffing or PIC responsibilities
Candidates must have prior 340B program experience
Candidates need solid experience in Policy & Procedures (crosswalk), Regulatory/Compliance, Bluesight, MERP, ASP, P&T, Pharmacy Chargemaster.
