Soliant Health is seeking a dedicated Chemo/Oncology Pharmacist to join a prominent healthcare system in Los Angeles, CA. This is a unique opportunity to work in a dynamic oncology setting, where you’ll directly impact patient care while contributing to the success of a leading health system.

Chemo/Oncology Pharmacist
Location: Los Angeles, CA
Schedule: 8-hour day shifts.
Temporary/Contract Position: This position is contract-based, with the possibility of transitioning into a permanent role within the health system after 12-24 months.
Onboarding Process: After accepting an offer, candidates will go through an onboarding process that takes approximately 4-6 weeks. This includes passing a competency exam and Livescan background check before starting.
Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide pharmaceutical care for oncology patients, with a focus on chemotherapy management and oncology-specific drug therapy.
  • Collaborate with oncologists, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure safe and effective use of chemotherapy agents.
  • Review patient medication profiles, monitor for potential drug interactions, and recommend therapy adjustments.
  • Participate in multidisciplinary rounds and patient care conferences.
  • Educate patients and healthcare teams on chemotherapy treatment protocols and side effects management.
  • Stay up-to-date on the latest oncology drug therapies and treatment guidelines.

    Preferred Qualifications:

  • Residency training (PGY1 or PGY2) or Board Certification in Oncology Pharmacy (BCOP).
  • At least 2 years of current inpatient pharmacy experience with a strong emphasis in chemotherapy/oncology.
  • Strong communication and collaborative skills to work effectively with healthcare teams.
  • Previous experience with oncology medication management or inpatient hospital settings is highly preferred.
